In this sprouting class, we are teaching
the children on prominent characters (e.g. Joshua, Moses and Jonah) in
the
bible using educational tools such as Children Bible Stories. To
reinforce
their understanding, videos depicting these events were also screened
after
the lesson proper. This, we hope would help to colour their imagination
and
spark their interest in reading the bible since young.
In addition, we would also be tutoring
them in Art and Crafts (e.g. colouring and origami) to liven up their
concept
of the protagonists they learned in each lesson.

For the Ephesians class, we are
teaching a group of younglings on the fundamental aspects of obeying
God. The lesson plan includes detailed explanation of key Old Testament
Stories (e.g. The Story of Cain and Abel, The Creation of the World and
the Disobedience of Adam and Eve), 10 Commandments, the importance of
obeying these laws and the punishments for breaking them.
Through these foundational
stories, we hope to inculcate them the right moral values and conduct that
they should practise at their tender age.

Hi,
I'm 'driving' the Genesis class. We
have 6 teachers in our team. Currently the class has 6 kids comprising
of 11
and 12 year olds.
The
kids not only learned on the
teachings of the Old and the New Testaments, they are also taught to
think
and behave like a Christian (supplemented by devotional sessions).
Usually, the
kids are given scenarios of problems they will face daily (jealousy,
sibling
rivalry, ostracism, peer pressure, selfishness, bullying, competition,
friendship, emotional issues etc) and through the guidance from the
teachers,
formulate solutions to those problems. The teachers will remark on
their
responses on paper and fine tune them according to God's ways. We
encourage
them to be mindful of their words and actions on an everyday basis and
not
just become a 'weekend' Christian. The kids are given worksheets every
2
months and take 2 major tests in a year to recap on what they have
learnt.
Our
goal is to make every child strive to
better themselves in the likeness of Jesus and prepare them to be
useful
vessels for God in His time.

Curriculum
Structure
For the Thessalonians class, Abigail and I are
the main drivers.
The class currently has 11 students ranging from 14 - 18 year olds and
classes are held weekly on the 2nd level of TJM.
Besides studying Bible passages and TJM's
doctrine books, such as
the History of TJM and the 24 Parables, with the focus on understanding
and
applying the spiritual lessons contained within, they are also
undergoing
leadership training and team-building as they lead discussion sessions
individually and work together on special outreach projects.
Our goal is to build Christians who are not
only strong in their
faith and rooted in Biblical and spiritual knowledge, but who are also
well-trained to actively lead and work for God to the best of their
abilities.
